Maintains a studio in Mount Waverley, Victoria,
Australia
Barbara Macey learned sewing from her mother and her
father, a shoemaker. She began quilting in the
late 1960s when she realized the possibilities of
the art form and has since been instrumental in the
development of art quilting in Australia, notably
with the publication of Quiltmaking in 1987
with coauthor Susan Denton, whose work also appears
in this exhibition. |
