Designed to help prospective international students and their parents and advisors learn about the American system of higher education and academic and student life at U.S. colleges and universities. Articles include: a welcome by Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs Karen Hughes, an introduction by Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings, several essays describing the different institutions of higher learning in the U.S. -- from large public universities to small private colleges, and discussions on topics such as how to choose a major and sources of financial aid. Lots of color photographs provide a record of student life and activities in universities and colleges from California to New York. In addition, this e-journal has a bibliography and a list of Internet resources.
